Therefore, it can be concluded that teaching writing by using TPS technique is more effective to improve students’ achievement in writing descriptive text. This research hopefully can be useful to improve the quality of teaching writing with an interesting technique that can make students enjoy and motivated to learn writing descriptive text.
This study aims to investigate how the activities in building knowledge of the field help the students reading descriptive text. As a classroom action research, this study obtained the data by using three instruments namely classroom observation, interview, and students’ works.
